Here in California, we have the benefit of long stretches of nice weather that allow us to be outside enjoying ourselves. Whether you enjoy barbequing in the backyard, letting the kids out to play as the evening cools, or want to walk around the neighborhood as the sun sets, you’ve felt the uncomfortable sting of a mosquito bite ruin an otherwise perfect evening outside.

Mosquitos are tiny flying pests that suck blood from their prey. They are generally darker in color on the wings and easily identified by the long stinger on their face, which can be seen as they lazily drift around their next target. While they can be annoying and their bites uncomfortable, the biggest threat from mosquitos is bloodborne illness that can be passed through mosquito bites, such as West Nile Virus.
